They cover the basic functionality that is required to get you up and running with Autodesk Inventor software as quickly as possible and to ensure you have a firm foundation.

These Inventor training courses takes you from initial sketches, through parametric part and assembly model design (Inventor LT single part only), to production drawings and documentation, while expanding on the background principles and best practices of 3D design and digital prototyping in Autodesk Inventor software.

Some design or engineering experience is needed, and it is recommended that attendees are familiar with current Windows Operating Systems.

The courses are designed to take you through more advanced functionality and principles available in Inventor, one of the world leading 3D modelling and digital prototyping solutions, and explore the more advanced use of sketches both 2D and 3D, advanced shape creation, complex part and assembly methods as well as working with surfaces and other CAD file formats.

Intermediate Inventor training courses can be broken down into three course options, intermediate which covers all training items, advanced part modelling (which will also benefit Inventor LT users moving forward to full versions) and finally advanced assembly design.


Students should have a basic understanding of Autodesk Inventor parametric part and assembly design, and it is recommended that attendees are familiar with current Windows Operating Systems.
Inventor Update Training - for existing Inventor users who require comprehensive training in the latest Inventor software release updates.
Update
Inventor Intermediate Training - Designers who have completed the Foundation/Essentials course. We recommend 3 core modules, with an option for 3 additional modules, if required.
Autodesk Inventor intermediate training builds on your Inventor essentials training to provide you with a higher productivity through the use of some of Inventors more advanced features.
This course combines the advance part and assembly modelling courses and the amount of functionality available is quite diverse, so we recommend that you pick the most applicable modules that benefit your business.

Inventor Advanced Assembly Modelling - you will be taught how various Inventor tools can be used to achieve Top-Down Design practices in your assemblies using Derive, Multi-Body Design, and Layouts.

It is important that attendees have a core understanding of Autodesk Inventor parametric part modelling and assembly design before attending this course. Additionally candidates should familiar with current Windows Operating Systems.
Inventor Transitioning Training - Autodesk Inventor transitioning training will provide you the skills required to get up and running with Inventor. Building on your current or previous experience with other 3D design and modelling packages to quickly and efficiently enable you to create production quality designs.
Inventor transitioning training courses are instructor led and designed to be hands on for users that are experienced with 3D modelling software, but perhaps require Pro-e, Solidworks or Catia to Inventor cross training (as well as other 3D CAD packages), in order to familiarise themselves with core Autodesk Inventor functionality.
The aim of this Inventor training course is to leverage users existing knowledge and experience in 3D CAD modelling and design, and familiarise new users with the Inventor toolset, as well as its capabilities and workflows as quickly as possible.

The courses take you through all the core features, such sketches, parametric part and assembly model development, through to production drawings and documentation, expanding on more detail of the specific tools in Autodesk Inventor as required.

Design or engineering experience is needed, as well as, experience of 3D and parametric modelling from commercial 3D CAD software applications, and it is also recommended that attendees are familiar with current supported Windows operating systems.

2D / 2.5D
Creating a Setup, Facing, Contouring, Adaptive Clearing, Pocket Machining, Counterboring, Countersinking, Drilling, Tapping, Engraving, Chamfering, Stock Simulation and Post Processing.

3D / 3 + 2
Creating a setup, Facing, outside contouring 2D, roughing using adaptive clearing, Adaptive clearing rest machining, Horizontal finishing, Contour finishing, Parallel finishing, Radii machining, Scallop machining, Pencil milling, Simulation and Post processing.

Multi-axis
Swarf milling is a multi-axis strategy for machining with the side of the tool. This strategy supports both machining from contours only and from surfaces. When machining from contours only, you are required to manually synchronize the contours. Swarf supports several different modes that control how to machine down the sides.

Turning
Creating a turning setup, facing, machining a turning profile, machining a profile groove, cutting an external thread and cutting off the part.

The suggested course duration is a guideline.

Course topics and duration may be modified by the instructor based upon the knowledge and skill level of the course participants, and training can be taken either on site or at one of our conveniently located local training centres.
